A baby girl’s pink, green & flower-filled nursery

Get the look

We moved into our new house just two months before Grace was born, so it was a scramble (to say the least!) pulling her room together in time. I’m always changing things anyway so I knew her room would evolve over time, but I still wanted it as close to finished as I could get it. Next on my list is to paint the trim, install a crib canopy, and replace the existing blinds with a roman shade, but one step at a time :)

When I started thinking about her nursery, I knew that I wanted it to be a space that she could grow into. With that in mind, I started planning how to create a space that would strike the right balance between it being sweet enough for a new baby but sophisticated enough to age with her.

Wallpaper

One decision I made from the very start was to do wallpaper in her room and I knew I wanted a floral pattern, one that wasn’t too overwhelming and still soft. I started turning to kids rooms and nurseries inspired by the English countryside, I loved the mix of vintage with new and thoughtful pattern-play so when I saw this Colefax and Fowler design installed in a little girl’s room, I knew it was what I wanted.

The wallpaper is Marchwood in the ivory/green color-way and I worked with The Paper House Collection (if you’re local to Charlotte, she is wonderful!) to order it from their London design house. When I saw a sample I was stunned and how it was even prettier in person. It has a flowering magnolia tree design and looks like it was hand-painted, it truly looks like a mural. With shades of pale pink, white, ivory/cream, and green, the colors gave me so many options to feature throughout the rest of her room!

Pillows, curtains & bedding

Another favorite resource of mine is Pepper Home, they have so many custom options for pillows and curtains, you can choose different styles of piping, pom poms, fringe, personalization, and more.

I wanted to pull out the green from the wallpaper so after looking at a few fabric samples, I went with their Loomi Moss in green for her bolster pillows and curtains. It’s hard to pick up in pictures but it’s the prettiest shade of green with little blue dots.

For her bolster pillows, I opted for their insert and added white piping and oh my gosh the insert is so good. I would highly recommend including it. It’s such good quality and fits perfectly!

Details & keepsakes

For Grace’s welcome sign, I worked with the amazingly talented Megan from Delighted Calligraphy (she also created my wedding invitations) and she designed this beautiful watercolor crest for her. It was so special to work with her again for another big milestone. For her silhouette, I turned to Mae Bicklein Designs - I’ve loved her work for a long time and knew I wanted to work with her. She captured all the little details so perfectly.

I framed the two pieces in floating acrylic frames (you can shop them here) - they’re such a great price and I actually like them better than a more expensive version I have because they don’t stick out as far from the wall which is exactly what I wanted!

Petite Keep Trunks

To add some pink accents, I stacked these two Petite Keep trunks. I did a more in depth review of them here but in short, I’m obsessed with them!

That’s everything for now but I will update as I add or change things. All of my sources are linked below!
